Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup(s) Good red wine 4 ounces, red
  • 1/4 cup(s) olive oil 2 oz.
  • 1 tablespoon Balsamic Vinegar
  • 2 Garlic Cloves minced
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons Salt divided
  • 1/4 teaspoon Pepper optional
  • 72 ounce(s) Sirloin Steak or 6 steaks
  • 25 ounce(s) Sweet Potato (4 large sweet potatoes)
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cumin optional, substitute your favorite fresh herb
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Red Pepper optional, substitute fresh minced chili peppers
  • 2 teaspoons Canola Oil
Instructions
  1. Combine the first 4 ingredients, using 1/2 teaspoon salt. Put steak in Ziploc bag, pour marinade into bag. Close bag and marinate 8 hours or overnight.
  2. Heat up grill. Remove steaks from marinade, let steaks come to room temp before grilling. Grill for 12 min or until desired doneness.
  3. Cut up sweet potatoes into french fry size. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  4. In a small bowl, combine the last 3 spices. (not oil) Either in a large ziploc bag or large bowl, put in the potatoes and toss with spices and oil. Arrange on baking sheet in single layer. Bake until edges are crisp & potatoes are cooked through, about 30 minutes.
