CURA is a non-medically supervised program. However, our plans, content, and counseling programs are developed, overseen, and approved by our Nutrition Team comprised of hand selected, degreed, and credentialed Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs). Additionally, we have hundreds of allied health professionals who are members of our Advisory Board and our RDN Network that provide expert guidance to the CURA organization, and its members.
CURA is not a medical organization, and we do not provide any medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or healthcare services of any kind. The information provided should not be interpreted as a substitute for a physician consultation, evaluation, or treatment. CURA advises all visitors, and clients to always seek the advice of a physician before beginning any nutritional, or weight loss counseling programs, or regiments. Please see our health disclaimer for additional information
If have any other questions please contact us.
CURA is the first nationwide company that utilizes only Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs) as nutrition counselors to work with members to establish, and achieve their nutritional, or weight loss goals. RDN’s are the Gold Standard for trusted information about food, and nutrition. Other programs may claim to have a “Nutritionist” on staff, however that does not guarantee that their staff nutritionists are licensed. An RDN has more nutrition, and medical nutrition education than a Nutritionist. RDN’s have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree, must serve an internship, and meet the comprehensive standards established by the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics.
We encourage your doctor to visit our web site at There, your doctor can learn how CURA uses science-based, nutritional health information, and RDN’s to help our visitors/members establish healthy, sustainable nutrition habits. CURA recommends that you always discuss with your physician any conditions you might have, or if you take medications that may have an adverse effect on you changing your diet, physical activities, or implementing a weight loss program.
CURA uses the information you disclose to us to improve our services, administer your member services, such as your Dashboard, or program deliverables. This allows you to enjoy and easily navigate our many service options. When you create an account, it will be necessary for CURA to collect certain information that may include your name, email address, and phone number, known as “Personal Identifiable Information” or “PII”. CURA may also request certain information that is not PII, because it cannot be used by itself to identify you, such as gender, age, date of birth, and zip code. Other information such as payment information will be required only for programs, services, or products that are being sold, and not part of our free offering. Please see our Privacy Policy for additional information.

As a paid CURA program member, you will have 24/7/365 access to your online tracking tools as long as your account is current. All member information is saved, and stored in our data warehouse, and can be accessed by the CURA team, you, and your RDN, if applicable, with the exception of private information, such as payment information, which is encrypted for your protection.

CURA programs, resources, and tools are developed, and created from science-based studies, and findings, and provide a balanced, nutritional diet based on low, and good fat, whole foods, moderate physical activity, and/or exercise, relaxation, and support. We only use certified, and CURA-trained RDNs as our counselors because of their medical background, and expertise in nutritional science. CURA recommends that anyone looking to make nutritional changes, first consult with their physician, and undergo a physical exam, if needed, before implementing changes, to identify any preexisting medical conditions, and avoid potential health hazards related to lifestyle change. When our program and/or counseling guidelines are followed, there are no significant health risks to participants.

CURA MatchTM is our proprietary software that aligns your specific needs, goals, personality profile, location, and other preferences with a carefully matched Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) from a hand-selected, vetted group of RDNs in our RDN Network.
Together, you, and your RDN, will create a personal program to help you meet your nutritional, wellness, and weight loss goals. By carefully matching your RDNs skillset with your goals, medical needs, lifestyle, and personal preferences, we can provide you with personalized one-on-one counseling sessions to reinforce behavior, and make healthy real-world choices, leading to healthy long-term success.
Basic Metabolic Rate (BMR) refers to a person’s Basal Metabolic Rate, which refers to the number of calories a person burns in a day, even if he or she did nothing but sit, or lie in one place. Your BMR is determined by your weight, height, sex, age, and level of activity. CURA provides all of our members that pay for, and participate in our nutritional programs, access to our online BMR Calculator, so that you can determine how many calories you should be consuming on a daily basis, in order to achieve, or maintain certain goals. Because your body chemistry, and metabolic rate changes as your weight fluctuates, it is very important that you calculate your BMR each time you gain, or lose five (5), or more pounds.
